Credential Verification
The people listed in the NBCC Credential Verification function hold the
National Certified Counselor(NCC) credential. Some NCC's also hold one or more
of NBCC's specialty credentials. They are listed below. Credentials
administered by boards other than NBCC and held by NCC's will not be listed in
this registry.

Search by NCC ID/Certificate Number:
Type in ID/Certificate Number and click 'Search'.
Note: Typing any information in this field will override all other entered
information.
Search by First/Last Name:
These searches will look for counselors with similar names in the state and/or
country selected.
Important: The search will look for the letters entered anywhere in the name.
For example, if a user wished to search for the first name 'Natalie' by typing
'na', returned results would include 'Nathan', 'Gina', and 'Jonas'.
Search by State:
Selecting a state alone will return a list of all NCCs in that state. If any
name information is provided, the results will be filtered by that criteria.
Search by Country:
Selecting a country alone will return a list of all NCCs in that country. If
any name information is provided, the results will be filtered by that
criteria.
NBCC maintains the certification information on this website and considers it
to be a secure, primary source for certification verification.
