GivingTuesday is a global movement committed to generosity and making the world a better place. This year, counselors can be part of that impact by supporting the NBCC Foundation through a donation or by sharing time and expertise.
The NBCC Foundation strengthens the counseling profession and expands access to mental health care around the world. From students just beginning their counseling journeys to professionals serving clients daily, the Foundation provides critical resources to counselors and their communities.
Global Capacity Building programs provide education in communities where the counseling profession is developing. This includes the Mental Health Facilitator Program and the Counseling Resource Collection, which sends books and journals to communities where counseling resources are difficult to access.
The NBCC Foundation’s donor-funded scholarships support counselors-in-training who are committed to working in rural communities or with military-connected individuals and communities after graduation. Everyone deserves access to mental health care, and every donation equips the next generation of counselors with the resources to serve.
The free webinar series, Innovations in Counseling and Building Professional Excellence, provide continuing education on a variety of topics to prepare counselors to support a wide range of clients. Past webinar topics include tackling burnout, navigating AI, and career development.
From counselors-in-training to those in later stages of their careers, the NBCC Foundation stands beside those who dedicate their lives to helping others.
Be part of this work by donating to the NBCC Foundation's GivingTuesday campaign. Those who aren’t able to make a financial contribution are invited to explore service opportunities on the NBCC Foundation website. The NBCC Foundation is recruiting mentors, ambassadors, application reviewers, and webinar presenters. There’s an opportunity for everyone to get involved.
Together, we can strengthen the counseling profession and expand mental health care for those who need it most.
