Linda Diaz


PhD, NCC, CCMHC, LPC-S


Dr. Mary Linda Diaz has a private practice in Corpus Christi, Texas, as an LPC- Supervisor (LPC-S) and is a Counselor Educator Adjunct Professor for Texas A& M University-–Central Texas (TAMU-–CT). She received her Ph.D. in Counseling counseling Education education with the an emphasis in Psychologypsychology, a Master of Science in Counselingcounseling, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology psychology at from Texas A&M University-–Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC).

She provides effective and evidence-based individual therapy to adults diagnosed with anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and other mental health and behavioral disorders, ; alcohol and drug addiction, ; and marriage and couples counseling. She conducts and prepares psychosocial assessments for undocumented immigrants seeking permanent residency in the United States; and conducts mental health examinations for the Social Security OfficeAdministration.

Dr. Diaz worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for over 25 years, and is credentialed to provide counseling services to active duty, and retired military service members and their dependents under the United States Department of the Navy, and was prior a former Director for San Patricio County Substance Abuse In-patient Treatment Facility. She volunteered for the Corpus Christi Catholic Diocese as a Counselor counselor for Catholic Charitiescharities, volunteered for the American Red Cross as the Disaster Mental Health Regional Lead in the Southern Coastal and Gulf Coast regions for eight 8 years in the Southern Coastal and Gulf Coast regions, and is Ppast President of The Council of Alcohol and Drug Abuse-–Coastal Bend. She is active as a Catholic Lector and Eucharistic Minister for St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, and served as Vice Regent and Treasurer for the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She is a current member of the American Red Cross, American Counseling Association, Anxiety and Depression Association of America, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association (EMDRIA), and the American Psychotherapy Association. She enjoys playing the guitar and piano at family activities.
